This arrived today.  The chassis is pretty rough, but the cabinet is really quite nice.  I think this will clean up ok,and the grille really sets the radio apart.

Red Emerson found!

I purchased this red Emerson at an antique mall in Oshkosh, WI.  I've been after one of these for awhile.  This Emerson came in black bakelite, white plaskon, white/gold beetle, green beetle, and the red/gold beetle seen to the left.  The beetle versions are the most hard to find, with red and green being the hardest.  This is a nice example, though it has the typical stress crack on the lower left corner.  It could probably stand to have the grille re-painted, as it has some corrosion in it.  I was very happy to find this radio!
